I'm not really much of an electrical guy but have a simple question to ask you professionals out there.

If I ONLY disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to our cars, will our radio need a code to turn back on?

 

I've never heard of our cars having a code. I have the non-bose and I sure didn't have to imput a code when I installed all my audio. I've disconnected the negative terminal severasl times thus far.

 

Yeah I've been reading a bunch of DIY's on this forum and nobodys mentions having to need the radio code. But most DIY's only say disconnect the negative terminal, NOT both. Maybe if both was disconnected we will need that code?

I have non-Bose also.

 

No radio code. No one wants to steal these radios and it would take them a while to get them out anyway.
