Anyone using Satalite Radio?

Infiniti online shows that if your vehicle is equipped with Sat, the price includes activation and 2 months of service. Anyone get it to work without having to go online to activate it? If so, will it automatically cancell after 2 months?

Re: Anyone using Satalite Radio?

My car came with it (sirius), and I liked it so much, I subscribed even before it expired. Besides, the free subscribtion is only a tease because you don't get all the channels.

Re: Anyone using Satalite Radio?

why not activate it, you can always cancel it later. I would be that you will keep it though. I have XM in my car and love the variety. Honestly I use the XM the most. The comedy channel is too funny.

You can also get the playboy channel. I don't even want to think what people would be doing in their car listening to that channel. And you thought cell phones were distracting

Re: Anyone using Satalite Radio?

Well what i did was i ordered it as soon as i got my car they gave me all the channels for 2 months and then after the 2 months i recieved my bill for 140 which is for the next 12 months... i think the channels you get at the begining are only preview channels and you keepum for ever...

Re: Anyone using Satalite Radio?

O.K. I don't want to say this, but I purchase my G-coupe in July of 2003 and up til now I have not receive 1 single bill and I'm enjoying all the Sat stations. I hope they never find out because I just came back from a long trip to Vegas and I just love all the un interupted stations we get with a satalite radio.

Peace and happy motoring.

Re: Anyone using Satalite Radio?

Yea, I have it. Sirius service. I gave one of my engineers a bunch of crap about a year ago for buying a Sat radio system, but now that I have tried it myself I had to go apologize to him. It's awesome. No commercials, awesome rock stations of all kinds, jazz, blues, classic and cutting edge stuff. I find myself listening to the comedy streams a lot as well. I actually picked out some Christmas gifts (CDs) this year from some comedians I heard over the radio on my way to work. Funny as hell.

After three months (of my two month trial service) I started getting billed. I'm paying it with no hesitation or regret whatsoever. It's awesome.

Re: Anyone using Satalite Radio?

I've had XM for a couple years, and the OEM tuner since June. I have a tuner for work and another for our pathfinder. I dont know how I would live without it. I love music, I live for music... many genres. Not a big top 20 fan. if I was then I guess FM would be fine. I also dislike FM diskjockey drivel.

Re: Anyone using Satalite Radio?

For you guys who have not recieved a bill, double check your credit card statement that you used to sign up the service with. Mine is billed to that card so no I don't recieve a bill.

Re: Anyone using Satalite Radio?

Thanks for the reply guys and gals. I guess the first few times I've tried it was inside my garage, so no wonder it didn't worked. Just tested it again driving home yesterday, REALLY awsome. Still debating whether to pay for it, but I have 1 1/2 month to think about it. . . hope they forget to bill me too. . .

Re: Anyone using Satalite Radio?

Also if you sign up on a 2 year plan like I did with XM they will give you 20.00 off you entire bill so I think it was like 190.00 for 24 months. I bought the Delphi system, then I had then transfer it over to the System that I have in my 04 G.Can't live without my XM.

Re: Anyone using Satalite Radio?

What exactly would be needed to add satellite radio to a G?

Re: Anyone using Satalite Radio?

if you have the "sat" button on your dash and an '04 you should be prewired. check out grubbs online they have the kit you can purchase. install is relatively easy. as long as you don't have metallic window tint you can place the antenna inside and not worry about the ugly hump outside.
