Hi everybody, i just picked up a g35 last week and the bose head unit won't play my mp3 cd's. I've done some searching and found out that it may be because i was not using folders and just loading the root menu too much. so i switched from burning with itunes to nero so i could separate everything into rock and rap folders. no change though. it will say cd# then track 01 and the time will start to tick, but no sound and if i try to skip the track it goes back to the beginning of track 1. i can also fast forward but it just stays on track one forever with no music.

i only have 3k left on the warranty but the closest dealership is 3 hours away. am i doing something wrong or is the head unit messed up. it plays normal cd's fine. thanks

Take it back. If it's not working it needs to repaired or replaced under warranty. The 3hr drive sux but your only alternative is to go aftermarket if you can't get it work and don't want to make that drive.

 

i just want to make sure, the 04 bose should play mp3 cd's? a guy on the 6MT forum said the 04s dont so im not sure if thats true or not.

 

I have an 04 Coupe and I dont believe my bose setup plays mp3s?

 

The 03-04's don't play mp3's.

 

only 05 up plays mp3s
