Any Auxilury Input Updates?!

I know the Auxilury Input is supposed to be coming out first quarter 2004, but i was wondering if anyone has heard anything. I'm waiting for my new mp3 player to be mailed to me, and am imagining that the cassette adapter wont give me the clarity that i need. Any info is appreciated

It's the cheapest thing to tide you over until something better is available. Also, cassette adapters do sound better than actual cassettes.. since they're getting a clean signal from some digital device (CD player, MP3, etc.). You won't have as much of that hiss as you have from actual cassette tapes.

Re: Any Auxilury Input Updates?!

i called blitzsafe about 2 1/2 weeks ago and she said they may have the nissan/infiniti adapters built in about 3 weeks. then it would take about another 2 weeks to get it to market. so i'm hoping february sometime. you could call them directly to get an update. they were helpful and willing to talk. their number was on their site.

Re: Any Auxilury Input Updates?!

Ok I have an Idea for Blitz, I wouldn't mind an aux input but there is no way that I am giving up My Sat Radio for it. Is there any way for them to make a switch to go between sat radio and the aux input that I assume runs through the sat input? If they can do that I would want one but other than that it wouldn't be worth it.

Re: Any Auxilury Input Updates?!

is there any more informatio about the input connections?
like what type or quality inputs will it be?

if I wanted to use optical input, would I need some kind of receiver or converter?

Re:IPOD ?? Any Auxilury Input Updates?!

More importantly, does anyone know what type of connection the bose head unit has prewired for sat already and where its located in the car...pix or description would be helpful...maybe we can wire our own direct ipod connection to the sat input instead of waiting for blitz or pac to build one.

What about the navi audio input on the bose? Stereo? Mono? Plug type?

The Nav input to the headunit is mono, and only plays through the front speakers. Good idea, not very hi-fi!

Re: Any Auxilury Input Updates?!

Carlitos,

How difficult was it to route the cassette adapter wire through the radio? I'd like to route it into the center console where my iPod is stored. Thanks.
Edited by fnt on 02/08/04 01:00 PM.
