hey, i just ordered the double din dash piece in titanium from japanparts, but i figured out that i accidentally only ordered the outside piece in titanium (no bracket, pocket, or other pocket). ..

does anyone know if i can just use the u.s. dash pocket? and adapt some sort of metra dash kit to work? i dont see why not... cause the double din cutout is a standard japanese size... thanks guys,.

so... without the a/c controls, the system is just completely non-fuctional correct? i do not want it to blow cold or hot air or do some random function.

i expect to just set it (at off), and disconnect the controls until i get the jdm ones (once i decide that spending 250 bucks is worth it)... until then, i'm ghetto rigging my old a/c in the glove box. besides, my alpine tv is going to block the a/c controls anyways, and i drive with a/c off 99.9999 percent of the time.

Uhm, do you ever use the front and rear defroster? i don't know what part of the country you're from but i use mine a lot.

 

not really... i pretty much always keep my car garaged.

if you keep your garaged most of times, why do you need to put LCD on it?
I'm gonna install Pioneer 7500 (touch-screen,dvd,mp3,etc..) because I drive about 33k miles/year
