DLS Iridium 6.5" separates in G anyone?

Wanted to see if anyone has a set of the DLS Iridium 6.5" components installed in their G and what they thought about them, specifically in terms of how they sound in the car... they probably sound awesome, duh, they are DLS ... I could get ahold of a set of the DLS speakers and have a JL 300/2 that I could put them on, so I am strongly considering it for my new setup.
If they would enjoy more power, I could bridge my 300/4 on the tweets and just do active crossovers (on the amps) but I'm not sure if that would be entirely necessary... that may be a bit much.
If anyone has a set, I'd love to hear what you think...

The tweeter in the Iridium set does not fit in the stock tweeter location. So you'd be looking at some custom fabrication, probably a kick pod. Bing (16psibrick on here) has made some of these for some G's in the past (I believe for an Iridium set too). Contact him about pictures if you're interested. He does good work from what I can tell, and is real nice.

blarg... not sure I want to do that sort of modification to the G at this point... I have a friend who used his iridiums in his car for awhile, he only wants 275 for them, he just wants to get rid of them ...
i might pick them up from him anyway just to have around, after all, they are good stuff.

contact bing, he can make you a set of kickpods for them. If I remember the price was really reasonable too... especially as how you are getting that set for a good price to start with. You might have to send him the set for him to make the pods, but seeing as how you don't seem to be in an incredible rush, I'd definately check it out.

Well, I have a friend that owes me money and has a used set in his closet...
so I dunno.

How much would you buy them for

I suppose they won't fit in the stock location due to the oversized tweet grill? I wonder if they would fit if you didn't mind destroying ("modifying") the plastic housing/grille...

Bing would suggest you build them into the kicks. He put my 3-way DLS UR's into my sedan kicks.
