does anyone have any experience with garmin?
hi i am just looking for a navigation that includes real time traffic thats portable if it has a lot of points of interest that would be great too thanks in advance
I love my Nuvi 360, NOT the 350, the 360. I bought mine off ebay a year ago because I couldnt find it in the stores. The difference is the 360 is the 350 with bluetooth. So not only can you get calls through on it, but on the POI's it has an option to call the store, restaurant, etc. I thought that was really cool. Also it can read texts if you have the right kind of phone.
Anyway the Nuvi 360's and the other widescreen garmin look really good. I have real time traffic on mine, but it seems delayed. I find it says traffic is there when it isnt. I think the new 680 or something has the MSN direct, which not only gives real time traffic, but it gives gas prices of the stations near you, it has movie showings and times, and weather updates.
All in all im happy with it, good response time, accurate and easy to use. One last thing, it is upgradable with an included usb cable, so any bugs get fixed and you can add POI's off of websites etc.

I have the nuvi 350. Excellent GPS. For more money, there's slightly newer models available, such as a widescreen version. I got my G35 with a built-in Nav, which is a lot more convenient than using a portable GPS, but I must say, the Nuvi has great software & features not available with Navs built into cars. For example, IMO, the Nuvi has better Points of Interest. You can easily upgrade the software. You can also define your own Points of Interest, including downloading databases of speed & camera traps.
One thing I like about the Nuvi line is that the devices are small. I don't like leaving my GPS in the car when the weather is really hot or cold outside. I also like bringing it with me when I fly/travel elsewhere. Being small, like the Nuvi line, makes it very easy to carry (IMO, widescreen version isn't as big a deal, since you see more of the map to your left and right, but that's not where you're going, you're going "up" in the map; so, no reason for me to upgrade the 350 at this time).

My wife has the nuvi 350 and it works great. Its also small and compact so you can easily take it around when you get out of the car. One word of advice tho, if you're in a big city, you may need the optional antenna or it will lose reception..happens in chicago all the time.
I have a Street Pilot c550. It has lots of points of interest, blue tooth capable, and can be expanded with a SD Card. The downside is the F'in suction cup no longer sucks to my windshield and the unit is only about 7 months old. FARG!!
Garmin is great stuff! My dads company does business with garmin and trust me...you wont be disappointed!
