Re: putting wires through
When I ran wires for my amp and DVD system, (one 4 Ga plus a couple of 12 gauge) I did NOT need to puncture the grommet on my '04 Sedan. Once I removed all the gummy tape and sealant, the grommet had a 5" long rubber sleeve attached to it. All I needed to do was stretch this a little and it was easy to fit the extra wires in, even the 4 Ga amp power. You must make sure you put the gummy tape and sealant back the way it was when you're done. But, I do feel that this method gives a better chance of a weather-tite seal than puncturing the grommet and adding sealant.

Re: putting wires through
Much thanks to the author of these instructions!! I would have never found that on my own. FYI for you coupe owners the instructions are exactly the same. Another note is the grommet is big with lots of wires going into it. I was looking for a small grommet with a couple of wires and missed the obvious great big one where the gob of wires was.
Re: putting wires through
I ran a 2 gauge through the grommet to a distrobution block in the trunk. I placed my 100 amp fuse block just inside the kick panel cover. I love my 1600 watt DVD entertainment system.
