I have two remotes and neither work. Took it to the dealer and they said that it was an electrical problem. They could not even get brand new remotes to program to the car. Any ideas?

i cant seem to get it working at all...
1. Close and lock all doors with the driver's side power lock/unlock switch. - done
2. Insert key into ignition and remove it from the ignition key cylinder at least six times within 10 seconds. Your Hazard Lamps will flash if you have performed this step successfully. (Withdraw key completely from ignition cylinder each time). If this procedure is performed too fast, system will not enter programming mode. - my door lock open by themselves - i cant procedure beyond this stage.

3. Insert key into the ignition cylinder and turn to the ACC position
4. Within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the keyless remote. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. (Do not press the button more than one time in the above step). If the button is pressed more than one time, the programming procedure will not be successful.
5. If there are any remaining remotes (including the old ones), unlock then lock all doors using the driver's side, power lock/unlock switch and within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the next remote. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. Repeat this step for each keyless remote (including any existing keyless remotes).
6. Turn the key to the OFF position, remove keys from the ignition, unlock doors to the driver's side power/unlock switch and open the driver side door

hi im having same problem, have you managed to surt yours out??????

Will this work for the "Intelligent Key" too? My 06 only came with one. I was going to buy one on Ebay and program it myself.

I need help.
I bought a new fob on ebay and im following the programming instructions. My problem is on the part where you put the key in and out 6 times. It seems that the car takes to long to recognize that I've pulled the key out for me to complete this step in 10 seconds. I've tried doing it fast and I've tried doing it slow to where I can here the ignition click when I engage and pull out.
I'm stumped, I keep hoping to see the hazard lights flash but no luck so far.
Anyone have any insight for me?

I have a 2006 G35x and was told unlike earlier models which have a "key fob" mine is an "intele key" which can only be programed by the dealer.

Does this sound correct?

I have not found any programming instructions for the Intel Key. I ended up taking it to the dealer and they charged me 130 bucks to program it. Keep in mind, they had to re program my original Intel Key so that they both work with the car. I gave up looking because I did not want to chance one of the keys not working. I would call your local locksmiths. It is possible one of them might be able to do it for much cheaper.

Thanks :D

I forgot to mention, because the doors unlock this means i cannot program any remotes. I only got one key with my car and the remote was flat, I have owner my baby for 4 weeks now and i have never been able to unlock it with a remote, i can only use the key in the door lock. HOW UNCOOL IS THAT! feels really looser like

Sounds like you're going too fast.

The timing is tricky, keep trying, you'll get it

hmmm maybe soo but im 99.9% sure ive got good pace, just to be sure ive used every single pace imaginable about 300 times. when im too slow nothing happens and when im on the 10 sec or less mark my doors unlock instead of my lights flicking. From what i have researched if you dont get the timing right NOTHING happens, not that your doors will unlock on the 6th insertion. Its like in out 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 in and BAM doors unlock on the 6th insertion. Now i should be getting BAM lights flash but that never happens. AM I BROKEN ??? i hope not. I really wouldnt have posted here if i wasnt absolutly certain i had checked and read all and any post regarding fobs, programming etc. I feel i have the right technique.
just one more question though. does the drivers side door lock (the one near the window buttons lock all the doors or all the doors apart from the drivers side? cause when i press it all the doors lock except the driver door. but it does unlock ALL the doors when they are all locked including the drivers door. is that normal.
THANKS SOOOO MUCH GUYS.

No, that's not normal, and it could be part of the problem. Button should lock and unlock all doors.

Actuator for the driver's lock might be broken, or maybe the linkage just came undone.

If you manually lock the driver's door simultaneously with pressing the lock button, it might work to reprogram.
