Re: Completed Pioneer DVD entertainment system

Well g35audioman, here is the 1/2 din Clarion center channel installed. Sounds great and I got rid of the dash mounted speaker which improved the look.

Here is a pic of my Polk Audio db component series being installed on the door. I cut out the bose paper cone woofer and used its original housing to mount my db series to it.

That looks good man. A lot better than your previous center channel speaker that was mounted on the dash. Very nice. Glad the speaker worked out for you. Good work!

Re: Completed Pioneer DVD entertainment system

The headrest with moniotrs are from SAVV mobile entertainment. They were designed for the Lexus IS300 in which I traded in for my G. I found out that the monitors fit perfectly so I put my originals back in the IS300 and put the monitors in my G.
Now I am working on instaling my PS2, XBOX and my Game Cube in the trunk with a video selector switch.

Re: Completed Pioneer DVD entertainment system

That looks amazing!! Did the install require the double-din change out? What about radio- I can't see where one would be with the Pioneer unit installed. I'd love to install one, but not sure it would work as my coupe came with just the standard non-Bose system. Can the Pioneer AVH still be used or would I need to purchase additional speakers, amps, etc?

Re: Completed Pioneer DVD entertainment system

I used the double din radio dash kit that I ordered from J's garage. None of my Bose components exist anymore. I can use the built in radio on the Pioneer unit to listen to FM or AM, but I like listening to my XM satellite radio better. It was about 360 dollars for the double din kit and the AC controller. I modified my AC controller so I can still have my dual climate controls. The factory Bose speakers are made of paper cones and very small magnets so I would recommend replacing them and adding aftermarket amps.

Re: Completed Pioneer DVD entertainment system

How does the Polk/Momo sub sound. I was thinkin of puttin in 2 12's in my coupe. I can get the whole sub enclosure for $150 So it would make a nice lil sub setup. Thanks.. Looks good. I will be installing a PS2 under my lower glovebox hidden in a cutom enclosure. Everything wired into my NAvi...

Re: Completed Pioneer DVD entertainment system

You could fit two 12" subs easily in the sedan, but I don't think you can very easy in the coupe.

Re: Completed Pioneer DVD entertainment system

Just ordered my Stillen Stage III supercharger and intake. I will post pictures as soon as I have it installed. Here is what the supercharger looks like if you have not seen it.
PS: Yes also have to change the hood of car so the supercharger can fit.
