Completed Pioneer DVD entertainment system
Here is another completed system using Pioneers' AVH-P7490DVD dolby digital DVD player and the GEX-900XM for XM radio. Other components include Polk Audio 6.5" db components (front and rear doors) with a Pioneer center channel on the dash. Two Rockford Fosgate amps pushing all 4 door speakers and a 1000W 12" Polk Momo enclosed subwoofer. Two SAVV TV monitors in front seat headrests. All doors and trunk have been treated with dynomat.

That would be the center channel speaker for the 5.1 dolby digital surround. I wanted to angle it towards the center of the car, so I had to put it just to the right of the temperature display. I looked at putting it in the center, but it would be flush against the windshield or covering the temperature display.

Some details on the trunk sub and amp:
Is the rear seat always folded down? I can't tell from the picture. Only two amp? Is one amp 6-channel and the other one 2-channel (for subwoofer)? Or did you just use 4-channel amp to power your six interior speakers?
Looks really nice. great job~
I used to have Pioneer 7490 unit, but I sold it because no touch-screen and no mp3 playback. The 7500 has it but remote control on 7490 is so so much nicer.

The seats do not fold down in the sedan. There is a trunk pass through by folding down the arm rest, which you can see the subwoofer magnet through the plexiglass enclosure. I am using a four channel amp to push all eight speakers (woofers and tweeters) in the doors since its a four door sedan. (I put on tweeters on the rear doors.) The center channel is connected to the factory amp which is hiding under the shelf of the sub woofer. The other amp is bridged to push the sub.

The headrest with the screens in them were 500 each. (The headrests were actually designed for my old Lexus IS300 which I sold the car.) The pioneer DVD player system was 1500. The 2 Rockford Fosgate amps were 600. The stinger 2 gauge amp wiring kit with distrobution block was 100. The XM module was 200. The 4 Polk Audio db series components for the doors was 350. The 1000w Polk Momo Sub was 250.
My daughter watching movies and not bothering me, Priceless.

Re: Completed Pioneer DVD entertainment system
clarion's center channel is a 1/2 din, not a 1 din. Just thought i would clarify. Also as far as the kenwood center is concerned, the closest thing to a 1 din they offered was the ksc-900ctr which i am using for my install. As a matter of fact i have the clarion AND the Kenwood for sale right now brand new. Its a long story, but in the end, i purchased 2 kenwoods and a clarion. Ended up using only one kenwood, so i have the other kenwood and clarion for sale. PM me if interested since i have absolutely no use for them and was going to put them up on ebay if there was no interest on here.
