Satellite radio wiring locations???

I will be buying a base model 2004 G35 sedan with leather and an automatic today. I didn't get satellite radio installed at the dealer because this thing is at the far top side of my price range, and I installed XM myself in my last car.

I'm wondering..... what hardware does the car need? I already have an XM tuner under my old car's seat and a slim antenna that I like. Is the car ready for XM or Sirius? Does the stock radio care which one?

Also, I read on here earlier that if I don't have a wire underneath my trunk mat, near the spare tire.... that my car is not prewired. I can route the antenna cable, but it was kind of a pain last time.

Is there another place the satellite antenna wire may be?

Re: Satellite radio wiring locations???

i'm pretty sure all the 2004's are prewired. but your xm receiver will not work. you need the proprietary one to interface with the stock cable. another option would be an aux input cable...coming soon from Pacific accessory corp. you can get the xm or sirius ( i prefer xm ) kit from grubbs infiniti online.
