Will this work with 4080 in 07 coupe?

I am beginning the process of installing sounds in my ride. I have an 07 coupe 6MT with factory Navi and Bose system. Here are the components that I am planning on installing:

Alpine IVA-W200 (or 205, still undecided)
Diamond Audio S600s 6.5" component speakers in front
Diamond Audio D661 6.5" coax speakers for rear side panels
Zapco REF1100.1 mono amp
Zapco REF1000.4 4 channel amp
2 - JL Audio 10W6V2 subs

Here are the questions that I would REALLY appreciate being answered:

1. Are there any considerations for keeping my factory navi and bluetooth?

2. Will the 4080 enclosures be able to handle this setup? Does it have the airspace?

3. If the 4080s aren't suitable, and I need to go with a custom enclosure, is it recommended that I have the subs front or down-firing?

Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated. I'd even give you a reacharound

Damn, forgot to ask:

4. Which is the better dash kit, JDM or Metra? And does anyone know if it's available for the 07 model?

5. Where can I buy spacers for the front speakers?

Thanks again!!!!

I don't know about these.

2. Will the 4080 enclosures be able to handle this setup? Does it have the airspace?

Yes and yes. I have both 4080 boxes with 10w6's.

3. If the 4080s aren't suitable, and I need to go with a custom enclosure, is it recommended that I have the subs front or down-firing?

See No. 2.

4. Which is the better dash kit, JDM or Metra? And does anyone know if it's available for the 07 model?

I like the JDM because the buttons are black. The 07 is the same as 05 and 06.

5. Where can I buy spacers for the front speakers?

www.zenclosures.com or eBay. I got mine from Zenclosures

That will depend on what you put in the 4080 box and what you power it with.

My twin 10w6's with 500 watts each sound really nice for 10's.

I intend on installing 2 JL Audio 10W6V2s powered by a Zapco 1100w mono amp. Do these boxed have enough airspace so that the subs don't bottom out when you crank the **** outta the volume?

They work fine with my 10w6's. Each box has about .7 cubic feet of space.

Sounds like a nice install.

The 4080 boxes should work out for you fine. The 1100w amp will power both of them nicely. The IWA-205 will have a docking option with the BM200 blackbird handheld. It sounds like you got the premium package with nav so it is a toss up. Since you will replace the stock HU, you will lose bluetooth unless you get the bluetooth addon from Alpine.

I have a couple of suggestions. First is to lose the backfill coaxials and if possible, biamp your fronts. Between your fronts and the subs, you will have plenty of variables to tune the sound inside your car. The rear fills just add additional variables that you will have to cancel out/time correct. Second, you may want the steering wheel control functionality with your Alpine. I believe there are a couple of PAC kits you can get to do this either via wire or IR.

I've read a bunch of posts regarding not running rear fills and I am hesitant to do so. I would rather take the time to tune the back channels in order to get a "full" sound going. It was my intent on just disconnecting the 6x9s on the rear deck, but replacing the rear side speakers with a coax setup.

I do also intend on installing the Alpine Bluetooth add on and I have already ordered the adapter to retain the steering wheel controls.

You may want to consider removing the 6x9's in the rear to allow more bass into the cabin and so they don't act like passive radiators and possibly muddying up the bass.

I have rear coax speakers, but they are faded down at least half. I really son't notice them missing when I fade all the way forward.
