my stock cd player just dyed on me saying it had some kind of error. So i just figured I'd get me a indash..but from my understanding the navi is connected to my stereo so whould i lose it completely?

 

You'll lose the voice guidance unless you re-wire it. Other than that it will work just fine. There's a couple of different options to overcome this. I don't have the links offhand but if you do a search you'll be able to find them.
