I don't smoke (or allow anyone else to in my car) so I thought this would be a great space for my nitrous switches. I bought another ashtray assembly from Grubbs and modified it. I made a new "subfloor" out of plastic to mount the aluminum switches onto. The main power switch has a green led on the end of it and the bottle heater and remote opener switches have blue leds. I then put two amber led assemblies in the ashtray to illuminate the area. I wired these into the existing light in the ashtray. I then made a little "shroud" so the amber led's light is directed into the confined area and not into my eyes. I then painted the whole inside with black "crinkle" paint to give it some texture. It looks better in person.....lol

Wow great idea. I always wanted to use the ashtrey for my EDFC for my TEIN suspension (when I get it). The switches are a nice idea too! I love you! <3

Which Tein are you getting? CS or Flex? And why did you choose it over the other? I'm undecided right now between CS, HKS, and Flex, but I want the EDFC also

Great idea!! I used my ashtray as the location for the remote display for my V1 - easy to reach to mute, easy to hide - just close, and keeps the dash clean and uncluttered.
