"No Sat" - satellite radio issue

2 Days ago, i turn off my car, run inside gas station, turn car back on and the radio displays: No Sat. Everytime you hit the sat button it displays No Sat. Like its not there. When it has signal problems it says no signal, aquiring, etc... Btw i have a factory sat that has been active and working since i bought the car in 03. This is real strange, its almost as if the car thinks there is no satellite.

Anybody have any solutions / suggestions?

thanks

p.s... did several searches and came up with nothing

I would take a look at the receiver in the trunk. Just take everything out of your trunk: carpet, bottom holder, left plastic bank, (unscrew the tire mount nut so you can move the tire to the right side.) There is a small nut down in the spare well on the left side holding the plastic molding in place. Take the nut off and remove the molding. The receiver will be under it. Double check to make sure the harness is in there securely and that no rips are in the wires.

if it's a dealer or factory installed option you are covered for 4yrs/60k miles-- sounds like the dealer can help

Try this:

If it does not work, go to the dealer.

If your covered, there is no reason not to go to the dealer.

Its the control unit in the trunk. Take it to the dealer and have them replace it. We see that alot here on the older recievers

I hate going to the dealer. I gained access to the unit through the trunk, did what you guys said, unplugged and pluged it back in. That did the job!
Thanks!!!
