Well, if you're partially deaf in one ear then just throw a few 12s in the trunk and see if you notice a difference That'll do.

Thanks. I have no clue what is going on with the audio system in this car. So 6 1/2 with separate tweeter in front and 6 1/2 in rear? I am looking @ Infinity Kappa for front and rear, any other recommendations?

The rear is a single speaker - no separate tweeter or tweeter at all. A coax speaker is fine in the rear sides.

Understood. I am looking at the Kappa's for the front, but looking for a coax for the rear that will match sonically to the Kappa's.

I went w/ Infinity Perfect 6.1s for the front set, Kappas 693.7i for the rear shelf 6x9's. I bought Kappas 63.5i 6.5's for the backseat side panels but the bracket was too shallow and the speaker was too deep, so the install shop installed a couple decent Eclipse 6.5"s that would fit.

**Note: the backseat side panel mounting depth is pretty shallow so take this into account. There was a DIY a couple years ago on this website that you could hammer down the metal bracket with a 2x4 piece of wood to deepen the speaker depth.

Ironically, the Kappa 6.5"s have been sitting in the original box in my basement for the past couple years. One night, I was swapped out my
6.5" speakers on my Hitachi 65" projection TV in my living room with the Kappas....TV sound is so much better....lol

For the price, you can't go wrong with Perfect's and Kappa's. DO NOT go with the Infinity Reference line though.....

Yeah I had to hammer that little piece down and use 2 layers of dynamat on the Zenclosure spacers to get the depth needed for JL 650s.
