CD Changer Problem

All of sudden disc one has disappeared. I can't eject it or play it. Anyone else have this problem.

I am wondering what's going to happen if I try to load another disc. It's probaby going to jam.

Anyway before I do anything if I do need a new changer are they going to give me another one of these shitty 03 changers or will they replace it with the new and improved one?

Re: CD Changer Problem

So get this I go out and push the load button. Then when it asks which disc I push 1. Now it ejects the disc that it didn't recognize. I put the same disc back in and now it says I have no disc in position 5.

BTW I don't know why this was moved from the sedan to the Audio section.... this is a problem with my car not a question about upgrading my system.

Anyone else at all have this problem? I definitely don't mind getting a new changer just hoping that I get a new and improved model

Re: CD Changer Problem

Someone probably moved it because it's an audio question, and not specific to either sedans or coupes (they use the same radios).

You won't get a newer model radio, but you'll probably get a new '03 radio.

The complete Bose systems sucks in this car, premium or not. My wife also has a Bose in her Acura TL 2.3 and it blows chunks too. The only option you can do is go aftermarket on these things and get a new radio console. Bose makes good home systems, but they need to stay out of cars - that's for dang sure.

Re: CD Changer Problem

I agree with you.. to a point. Bose doesn't make anything worth the price they charge. I have the Bose.... because I had no choice... it is adequate, but not good. At some pointe I will swap it out.... right now I'm spending all my spare change on performance mods (exhaust, CAI, Crawford plenum, grounding kit, etc) and a few appearance items (clear corners, tint) and next is suspension (wheels, tires and lowering). The sound system is probably going to have to wait until next year

Re: CD Changer Problem

I was looking at the Bose Lifestyle systems, but I wound up with a Yamaha receiver and JBL speakers at a fraction of the cost... and I can't tell the difference in sound quality between the two.

Re: CD Changer Problem

The set up you bought probably sounds better. It certainly reproduces more of the full spectrum of sound vs. the Bose. There is a reason for the saying "No highs, no lows, must be Bose" - but most people have to believe that spending 3-4 x means better - not true. YMMV
