dvd audio

I have the pioneer avic z1 and when i put in my dvd mp3 cd that i made. The audio volume is so much lower than a regular cd or mp3 cd. I have to turn the volume up more than double to hear it good somewhat. What do I need to do? Why are dvd cds need to turn up the volume so much more? I know its not the head unit because it is the samething that happened in my other dvd indash. Why is dvd audio so low in volume?

More than likely it has to do with the burning software. There may be seperate adjustments for CD vs. DVD. Check the settings.
