Help with my G35 Coupe Audio Install

Hi Guys!

I am from London UK, and I have a CPV35 350GT (G35 Coupe) arriving in October. It's a 2004 September car (so early edition) and autobox.

As the car has a Nav in japanese, there is no way to convert the system to UK mapping, so it has to be junked and a new nav command system installed.

There are plenty to choose from here in the UK so that is not a problem.

I already have purchased the G35 Coupe Workshop manual (lets hope its the same as the CPV35!)

I have some questions regarding the G35 Coupe that I hope some of you can answer for me.

1. Does the Stock Nav Screen take a RGB or VGA input?
2. The buttons under the screen (on at the top of the centre surround, aobve the bose system) what do they control (mine are in japanese and I haven't got a clue!)
3. If I go for a double din conversion, will I loose the dual climate control like on the G35 Sedan? At a later date I ay consider swapping out the Bose setup.....
4. Will the stock nav sceen take 2 inputs? Say the standard nav input and one from a DVD source?

Sory for all the questions, but want to get all info and parts ready for when the car arrives!

Thanks in advance.

Al.

The only thing I can answer is you can keep the dual climate control if you unsolder the button from your Bose circuitboard and solder it onto the board for the new AC controller. You will also need to swap the dual climate button cover over to the new board. It's not very difficult to do.

Instead of hacking your factory nav up, convert your head unit to a double din setup with an aftermarket nav.
