Noob here, Why do you need a NEW AC control when you do DD conversion?
Cant you use the old one? I keep staring at pictures, it looks like the same thing, why cant you just buy the DD plastic and use OEM ac controler that you already have

LOl stop staring at it because it looks the same. The OEM Ac controller is connected to radio, lets just say that the circuit board is all in one piece. You can't use it.

That picture is for an 05-07 coupe dash. Your 03-04 coupe dash is different and so is the DD trim piece.

so if you have a professional installer do it for you, do you have to bring in the new ac controller or will they normally provide for it? If it must be purchased, do I need to get it from the dealership?

Everythingg35.com should have them along with grubbsperformance.com. Your installer should be able to order it, but I would check with them to see what they will charge you for it.
