XM Sat Install

Here's a quick question for anyone that has already installed the XM tuner in their G35 sedan. I was trying to pull off the carpet from the ceiling of the trunk but there are a few clips that hold it in place. It seemed like these clips might break if I pry them off. So does anyone have any tips for pulling off the carpting. Thanks...

Re: XM Sat Install

There is a notch on the clip, put a small screwdriver there to pop the middle up and then the clip comes out, I believe there are approx. 6 clips for the ceiling part. There is also double-sided tape holding a portion of that ceiling panel. Once all the clips are removed, and tape is released, there are 4(?) more clips that attach that piece to frame. To remove the side, there's the one clip in the middle and you have to remove the cargo net clips (same process). The piece behind the back seat is held in by the 2 clips and the rubber edging/seal around the pass through.
