CD player just clicks and stereo unit wont shut off

Weird problem. CD loudly clicks and wont eject. Screen flashes error and the damn thing wont quit when the car is turned off. It still clicks and there is power to it because you can hear it cued up in the speakers and the screen flashes with the key turned off and pulled out. I pulled the fuse for now. Can driving with no radio fuse for awhile hurt anything? any ideas?

Now thats aggrivating.

Just had my CD player replaced under warranty last Tuesday. With mine the problem was on ignition the left side of the car had no sound? If I switched to any other CD (which took forever)the sound came back on.It never did this with the radio, just the CD player so I knew it wasn't the speakers.

It's all good now!

I know these things have a Bose tag but they were actually made by Clarion for Bose.

Take it to the dealer, good luck with your problem.

A known problem with G35s. CD-FO error means it is toast. If you are under warranty, they will swap it out for you. If not, you will pay about $350 to have it repaired. I'm on my third CD player as of now.....

This happened to me. Like they said, it is gone. Mine was under warranty and got it swopped. The problem with that is they give you a refurbished one.

Dealer said it was a $400 repair and I had to wait 6 weeks with a hole in my dash. I do have an extended warranty but who knows if they will pay. I wish there was a different direction to go on this. Plus with the radio fuse out the ac is on some kind of default auto econ and wont turn off.
Oh well........

What level of warranty do you have?? There is Powertain, Silver, Gold, and Gold+. If you look on the back of your warranty sheet, it defines what it covers and not. If I remeber correctly, anything about powertrain will cover the radio. This is the warranty I had mine replaced for. The dealership ordered it, it arrived the next day and took 30 minutes to install.

Ohh sh$$. Few months ago, my Left speakers would not work, then the sound will come back. I noticed that this only happened (twice) whenever I would have the volume so low that it was practically inaudible (stupid chick kept lowering it, cause she thought whatever she was saying was worth hearing). I called dealership and they say it's "channel" issue.

Now the CD player is not playing at all. It says "Check Disk". Just called Dealer and they want to replace it. Waiting to hear if my Ext-warr covers it.

In the event it doesn't, I was sick of it not being able to play an MP3s. So any suggestions. I'm on a budget too and I'm not feeling the whole MP3 Player with cassette adapter thingy, it's soo 90s.

You could get a kit to fit an aftermarket cd player. Depending on the brand, they range from $160-$260. $160 is the cheaper Metra unit or you can go for the more expensive, better quality Infiniti one. Then decent cd player that play MP3's and have a AUX for a MP3 player start around $110 or so. I sell plenty of them. The cheaper way is have the unit replaced under warranty and then get a integration kit from Infiniti for about $185.
