My 2003-04 G35 Double Din Conversion DIY Guide
I have an 03 sedan non-nav, bose system.
I'm reading alot on this subject but still confused, can I get the eBay kit for $200 and a hu and be done? The seller says it retains full hvac control with the kit. Does that mean I don't need to jdm controller? The kit looks like it has all the same buttons as my stock controls.

No, you'll need other stuff.
If only somebody had made a complete shopping list for just this thing...

haha I did see that, but I've ready so many different things from different sources its making my head spin.
EDIT: The one thing that threw me off most was that the Metra kit includes the DC control while the JDM does not (?) So it's a trade-off, lower quality (and half the cost) Metra WITH DCC button, or high quality JDM W/OUT DCC button?

I ran into the same problem when I originally did the build, conflicting sources. That's why I wrote up and maintain that list that's pretty much the only thing you need to consult for a conversion.
You can move the dual climate button rather easily with only minor soldering skills, so that shouldn't be a factor.

Ok. So I've looked over the 50 plus pages until my brain hurt. I need an answer for a question that's probably been asked a million times. I want to install a kenwood double din that I have. I have everything except the harness. I want to use my kenwood to power my door speakers and I also will run a seperate set of rca's to run my sub amp. What do I have to do, ans which harness do I need to do this. Or, should I use the harness running through the bose amp to run the speakers? Thanks a lot!!
Quick question. I hope I'm posting this in the correct thread, but I want to install this head unit (Pioneer AVH-P2400BT) http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130P240...H-P2400BT.html with the current stock Bose Amp and Speakers. I heard that the Bose Amp is 2.5 volt and the Pioneer head unit I want to install is 2 volt. Am I going to run into any issues??

Use the PAC ROEM-NIS2 in place of the standard wiring harness and your audio should remain the same "quality" it was with the bose unit.
Great thanks for clarification! One last question. When you say same "quality" does that mean after installing the new head unit with the PAC wiring harness, the sound will still be the same from when it had the stock head unit?
I'm referring to how bad the bose system sounds, period. The non-bose system sounds better, any half-decent aftermarket system sounds worlds better.
