Focal polyglass vs MB quart ref
dont expect either to make any real bass, infact, you should high pass them at around 70-80 hz to preserve their life.
for me definetly focal over MBQ, MBQ nowadays IMO is nothing like before (the same pople who own CRUNCH USA owns MBQ)...not to mention i never liked the MBQ sound anyway hehee
the polyglass is not bad, though at that price range i would put in the DLS MS6. UP6 and UX26 in there, priced from the mid to high 200 dollar range up to about 450 bucks

I bought the kappa's and I'm not very happy with them... I had no intentions of upgrading and bought them becaus they were 2ohm to go with the blose unit. To me they are very harsh sounding...no midbass and the highs hurt my ears. though they are a huge improvement over the stockers...
the DLS is the opposite of MBQ interms of sound IMO, no listening fatigue, just very warm and smooth sound...if i were to compare it with a speaker, it would be Morel, just smooth, yet detialed, and powerful...
i hate kappas with a passion as well hehe
pretty all the Gs i have done (about 15 or so) with DLS, the customers all have been very satisfied

Speaker choice...
I agree with the MB Quartz assesment. They are not just as good as the old days...Focals are nice quite a big fan in fact but for the money the DLS sounds just as good if not better depending on what models we are comparing. The DLS are one of the best components I've ever heard, and I've auditioned and used several amazing speakers in my life. These speakers are just warm and very natural, the highs are crisp without the annoying sibilance that a lot of tweeters exhibit. Off-axis response are amazing on these speakers - making speaker location much more installation-friendly and versatile. If you have the chance to audition these speaker - do it - and be ready to be blown away.
Now which ones of these are you guys using in stock locations, and which ones do you guys have in kicks...?
I haven't decided on which of the above I'm going with, but I probably don't want to add kickpanels to the G...
It would probably have a significant impact on sound though
