Pioneer AVIC-Z1 with DD Kit On 2005 Coupe

I just want to say thank you to some of the guys who had done the installation on Z1 hu here for sharing all their knowledge and other who helped answer all my question so ppl like me can do the installation myself.

Any how...I finally got a chance to do the installation on Z1 last weekend, I spent about 8 hours from taking the center console apart, finding the ebreak wire and ground it with a switch, wiring the LOC on harness and soldering the A/C controller switch with resistor. At first I was so worry about the soldering part, it turns out that soldering is so easy. On the other hand desolder the resistor off from the OEM board is must harder The unit is finally up and running except a couple things; 1. I haven't got time to install the PAC-SWI PS and it was already dark out there 2. The LOC is too hard to put in behind the hu, I wish there is bigger space back there. Every time I tried to push it in, it would disconnect the wires on the LOC. And now the speakers has no signal I was thinking maybe because I grounded all the black wires together in one? I will try grounding the LOC ground separately and see. There was a posting on this site said by putting a swtich on the ebreak or VSS wires could allow me to input address while driving? Can anyone show me the link again plz...I want to know if I should put a switch on the VSS as well since I already got the ebreak switch and ground. Thanks!!

PS...I took lots of pic during installation, I will post them to help the next person

if u want to watch a dvd while driver or input address while driving theres 2 ways. if u got one that was before i think july 06 then u can buy a hack for it on ebay. if it was after july or august then if i remember then u switch the pins around on the rca harness. not to sure i forgot havent done a z1 since the z2 came out. best place to check on that is go to AVIC411.com all ur anwsers there.

Thanks JoClezyG35. I got that done a month ago. Lucky that my Z1 was pre June 06 so I just added a switch on my ebreak wire and use the flashing light method that I found on Avic411.com. It's working very well .
