There`s big difference between the two !! the Text Display, the USA SPEC will NOT display song names, it will only show Track Numbers !! and the Play List as a Disc, but the Factory Interface will show the song title even on the 04 Models, so this is a BIG Plus for the Factory Ipod Interface.

^I got the factory integration kit from everythingg35.com and installed it in my 05 coupe last night, it works perfect. My trunk looks just like yours I don't have sat nav eigther so you should be okay.

I did not cut up my seats like others have, something about tearing into my seats just did not sit well with me. So instead I installed it under the middle center console of the rear seats so no cutting was required. I'll take a picture and post it later.

^+1 here is where I ended up placing the ipod integration kit, it fits perfect in that little red square between the seats under the arm rest, and there is about 2 mm space between the kit and that wire that holds the arm rest in place.

^refer to post #28 on the second page of this thread. That white connector is all you need to plug the ipod integration kit into.

Best setup so far !!! its the cleanest install, i thought about the middle console in the back seats but i didn`t know that the cable will be short if the Unit is installed next to the Amp, i also wanted to install the iPod in the Cup-Holders to make it super easy to take it out everytime, but i don`t know if it fits, iPod is on the way now, and the Unit to be ordered soon.

I Ditched the Car PC Project because of this !! was in the middle of the project but after the iPod Factory Control and the 160 GB iPod Showed up, this is so far the BEST way to listen to MP3`s in a 04 Factory Radio.

By, satellite radio installed, do they mean just having the satellite radio box in your trunk or actually having satellite radio service???

from the link that YOU supplied. it's in REALLY large text..

The "YES" satellite radio option is for vehicles WITH satellite radio installed. If you are pre-wired, but do not have satellite installed and don't plan to install satellite radio, you should select "NO" as you will not need the optional harness.

If your G35 is a 2003 model and it is not pre-wired, then you will need to purchase the pre-wire harness in order to connect the ipod unit, to your factory radio.
