Custom Fabricator and Alpine IVA-W205 Owners

I have couple questions:

1. How do you make mounting trim ring for the HU? The stock ones are too large. I know Bing made some with ABS plastic. Can you guys please advise on what the easiest to make one with PICS please.

2. Did you use the Alpine PXA-H701 with this HU? If so, how do you run your line to your amp to get the 5.1CH effect?

I'm looking to get this AV HU and want to get these questions out of the way first.

Thanks a lot

the trim ring from alpine worked for mine...if you want something that is more flush you can adjust it with another piece behind it

hmmm, I thought it was just me that had the IVA-205 from alpine stick out and extra 1/2 inch. Its actually very annoying since i have to put my car in Drive every time i want to insert a CD otherwise the faceplate hits the shifter. I got mine "Professionally" installed which i wasnt pleased with and they just threw the Trim Plate away. Anyone know where i can go to get a new one. Or better yet, does anyone have a list of detailed instructions on how to get the HU to fit all the way in the Dbl DINN conversion kits? Im lost and would rather my HU not stick halfway out o.0 Any help with be great...Im in the same boat with you ATL

I know that Bing made his customer's flushed with the face. So I hope that he can give us some advice.

I have a question about installing an extra lcd monitor where the factory navi goes, where as I don't have in my g35. I was wondering if with the Alpine W205 and hooking up an lcd. Would a touch screen be able to work with this HU? And if so will it be able to control some of the fuction as if it's the W205 screen itself.
