Exclamation New owner! 07 G35X, P0024 and P0014 CODES!

Hi guys im a proud owner of a beautiful 07 G35X. The service engine light came on and i got it checked, gave me these 2 codes: P0024 and P0014.

i would really appreciate your guys knowledge towards this situation and will be eagerly awaiting your responses.

P0014 and P0024 are exhaust valve timing control fault codes.

You should rally search around a bit, there's quite a few references to these codes within the forum, and certainly on google. Here's an example of quick search result from here: https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-eng...376-p0014.html

It does seem like dealers lean toward replacing the valve timing covers, which includes the whole solenoids, so they are fairly costly. Before you swap them out, I'd be sure and check your oil pressure just to be sure there is no contribution from low pressure.
