need help on setup
Im a complete newb when it comes to audio. but i want to use my whole trunk as airspace, so i want a beautiful looking sub.
I am going to get a Pioneer AVIC D3 head unit.
and i these subs look really good... and i want to get TWO. (the magnet is going to be facing upwards)

here are the specs of the subs (Alpine SWX-1042D):
Sensitivity: 81 dB
RMS Power Range : 500-1000 Watts
Peak Power Handling: 3000 Watts
Impedance: Dual 4 Ohm
Low Frequency response: 24 Hz
High Frequency Response: 200 Hz
Diameter: 10 Inch
Features
Carbon fiber/aluminum honeycomb cone
High-roll Santoprene rubber surround
Cast aluminum frame
Dual 4-ohm voice coils
Top-mount depth 8-5/8"
Sealed box volume: 0.5-1.0 cubic feet
Ported box volume: 0.8-1.5 cubic feet
Priced per speaker
Subwoofers are usually come as a single speaker unless noted differently.
Warranty: 1 Year Onlinecarstereo.com warranty.
1 Year warranty from Onlinecarstereo.com implies that repairs must be returned to Onlinecarstereo.com, not the manufacturer. More information can be found in our help section under returns & warranties.
What kind of amp(s) do you reccomend? and how many do i need?
sorry. Thanks alot though.

Well if you get one 12'' its plenty of boom for your car vs. 2 10s. You keep more trunk space if thats an issue. If not the 2 10s are plenty or power. DYNOMAT!!!
... I recommend the ALPINE PDX amp ...

well, the reason why i want two, is that im going to have each sub facing down (magnet up) on each rear corner of my trunk by the tail lamp. Im going for the "show" look... i will look up pics to give you the general idea. thanks for the suggestion on the amp

well, Im not baller or anything, but I want a good decent amp that would hold enough juice for my two 10's or possibly just one 12 type R from Gr8One. And a reputable brand for extra brownie points.
