Im thinking about putting a custom system into my g just a double dim head unit, sub + amp in the trunk... My question is will this hurt the resale value when i turn around to sell it?

sorry you will have to excuse me i am not very familiar with car audio... Once i put in a double dim kit is it possible to return the car back to stock?

Yes, it's double DIN. The DIN is a acronym.

If you do it right and not hack up the car, you can return it to stock when it comes time to sell it.

 

okay i think im going to get the AVIC-D3... I am going to hold off on the sub for now but in the future im going to get a 10w7 and put it in a 4080 encloser.... Anyone have any suggestions on the type and power of the amp i should get? Also what type of speakers do i want if i want really high quality? I would like to get an amp that will be able to power the speakers + w7 when i get it... If thats not possible that is okay though.

usually a stereo won't affect resale value either way, espicially if you trade it in. you won't lose value but you won't get extra for it either.

 

A w7 won't fit in a 4080 enclosure, but a w6 fits fine.

you might as well match it will a JL amp 500/1. Depends on how much power you want. If your going to stick with the w6, thats perfect. Thats plenty of juice anyway...you dont need anymore than that unless you want the rest of the world to hear you. Im going to just run 300 to my old w6, and go for sq with xtant amps to focal speakers up front.

 

I had a JL 500/5 powering a single 10w6 and Boston Acoustics front components and Boston Acoustics rear coaxials. Then I swiched to two Alpine PDX amps, two 10w6's and CDT components up front.
