I use the Metra DD so it fit perfectly. I did not have to do anything.

 

Agree, everyone loves it.. this beats the factory 100X, I am mucho pleased... (Feel like a pioneer ***** with all this excitement.)

 

any of you that changed your stock HU..if you have a perfectly working stock HU available i'll be willing to buy it for an 03 g35 sedan. please pm me if youre willing to sell it thanks.

It depends on which model your car is. If your car is 03-04 models then you should be able to use the same metra dash kit as me.

Do you mean 99-7604? I just want to confirm, b/c I've been looking @ the 99-7604 as an alternative to the DD and JDM kit from Riverside Infiniti & Grubbs b/c it includes the dual climate button and I'm personally not sure if I'd be able to modify the JDM to use dual climate.

BTW Paky- My understanding of this kit is that it can be used for both single din units and DD.

Could you post some more pics please too. The one you have is kinda fuzzy and I really want to see how much of a contrast the DD finish is to the black dash.

is there a pac access for a video bypass for this head unit?? ebay has some shady looking "instructions" items for sale.

 

go to avic411.com There is a really simple bypass. It involves moving some cable into a different spot (i'm not explaining it well, but lets just say it is rediculously simple). I don't really remember exactly what it is, but if memory serves there is some yellow cable that you move from the bottom pin to the top or something.

 

I'm buying this kit on friday probably...i really wanna put my TV in my car...its been sitting in my closet for like 5 months now...i HATE the factory bose HU. Its the biggest piece of shat ive ever used or had to deal with in my life.
