do any of you guys know if there are any navi. hard drive only(without the screen)? Im going to get a aftermarket touchscreen from mp3cars and just want to add a navi hard drive to the screen. I know there are carpc's but i dont want a pc in my car just navi and a dvd player.

Garmin makes a black box GPS unit, GVN 520, that should work with the mp3car unit's input. One of the guys with an 07 sedan added it to his OEM non-navi screen. Some of the instructions will apply to your situation.

seems like you know alot about audio/stereo, ill ask you one more question.
If I add an aftermarket screen into the navi. cubby(mp3cars). and have a dvd/player, and the garmin navi. How would I tap the audio into the stock HU/speakers?

I would think the navi will work on a touch screen with the right inputs, but you won't be able to control the navi by the touch screen.

I don't know how you would send the audio into the stock HU. I don't know how the audio is output from the Garmin box.

You could get a single speaker and a small amp for the navi voice.
