The black trim doesn't cover the front of my AVIC-D3 correctly nor does it fit in riverside's DD kit.

Where can i find a better fitting trim?

 

alot of people custom fit the trim using a sheet of ABS plastic carefully cut and filed for a perfect fit

 

will home depot have this? do i need special tools to cut it down to size?

 

I had to make one for my Kenwood DD.

 

I agree with op. The trim is really awful. Not only does it not fit the face of the stereo that it came with, it doesn't fit inside the dd dash from JDM either. Very poor imo. If anyone knows where we can get a replacement trim piece, please let us know. I'm guessing the installation guys at Best Buy are not a probable solution. What a let down. I was so excited about getting this installed and took the dd kit and navi unit out of the box today and the air was deflated from from my balloon.

 

Where do you buy a sheet of abs plastic to use?

 

Most car stereo shops will have them in 12in x 12in pieces...
