Sat radio install (again)..I need the layman's ter

Gents & ladies (of course)..I have an 04 Gsedan and am considering xm or Sirius for my car. As I already have the sat hook-up installed (as per 04 models), what exactly do I need? Prices would be great too..thanks and I know this has been posted before..but I need the layman's answer.

Cheers

I have an '04 as well and just installed the receiver. All you need to purchase is the receever and the antenna. When you order the receiver, you get the antenna. I purchased mine from infinitiwhoesaleparts.com, it came to right around $300 shipped. I called a local dealer and they wanted $340 without tax or installation. Also, the service manual would be helpful when removing trunk panels and I have the install istuctions for the receiver itself. It took me about an hour to install. If you're around Chicago, let me know if I can be of assistance.

Re: Sat radio install (again)..I need the layman's ter

I didn't even look at anything until I decided to install the receiver. I have the service manual so it did help with removing the trim panels in the trunk. I also downloaded the installation instructions which are from Infiniti as well. I think the hardest part would be running the antenna if you decide to install it on the roof. I installed mine on the rear deck, all I needed to do was go under a trim panel and behind the back seat. The receiver comes with an "L" bracket that you connect to the receiver and screw to the seat brace. I've never taken trim panels out to install anything in any car and it only took me a little over an hour from start to finish.
