Stereo recommendations withOUT navigation?

I need to replace the Bose system in my G. My car has factory navigation which I want to keep and I do not want my new stereo to be the double-din with Nav type.

I'm looking to spend my money on higher quality speakers and amp, so do not want to blow it all on a huge LCD Double Din with Navigation setup.

What are my options?

Thanks

How about getting a double DIN without navigation? You can still play DVDs.

Yeah, the thing is I don't see myself watching too many movies in my car. I guess I'll look around for a good single din unit.

You're right about that; it would look strange. Maybe I'd put a GE there or something. Any other useful single Din consoles?

You just want a straight up CD player?

Is CDR playback important? MP3?

How important is SQ?

SQ is very important. After that, just CDs and MP3s.

I've been out of the scene for a long time, so forgive the question, but are there any HU's that just have large hard-drives, so I can just upload my digital collection to it?

Thanks for all the input!
