aftermarket headunit, bypass bose amp?

I'm getting the Kenwood DNX7100 and will most likely bypass the bose amp and feed the source straight to the speaker. I just wanted to confirm that with the audio expert. I tried searching, but didn't get any luck. Thanks in advance.

I have an Alpine IVA-w205 (that has 40w out), and I use my RCA out for the Sub, but I use a PAC OEM-2 to take the speaker wires out of the Alpine and wire into the factory wiring using my BOSE amp and speakers. I think it sounds great.

You're going to have to do some rewiring to power the speakers with the HU and bypass the Bose amp. You can run speaker wires and tap into the wire harness coming our of the Bose amp and going to the speakers.

The Bose speakers are 2 ohm, so make sure the Kenwood can handle that load.

That's what i did. in the rear, i disconnected the in and out from the oem amp and connected them appropriately. How do check if the DNX7100 is sufficient in powering the speakers? I have infinity kappa component up front and stock rearside and the deck are disconnected. All i know is the the 7100 has "50WX4 MOFSET" per their product description.

I was always under the impression that the bose is crap (or was it the headunit that sucked?) and you're better off running the signal directly from the aftermarket head unit.

Thanks again for the help
