Issue installing Infiniti Kappa Perfects
I was installing my components this afternoon and i came a cross a problem. The speaker mount that came with them does not fit the door frame, the stock speakers have some weird 3 screw design that obviously aftermarket speakers dont have.
The speaker mount is smaller than the actual hole, so there is no way i can screw it onto the door panel. Anyone know if theres some mounting brackets i need to buy? i think i remember hearing something regarding it here - but where i bought the components they told me it should just mount right up.
anyways here are some pics of the stuff if it helps:

it's not a big deal. you might need a speaker spacer, and drill holes. it's metal all you need to do is make sure you have the hole completely sealed and make sure the speaker doesn't impede window movement

No, coaxials have a tweeter mounted on the same axis as the main driver. They share a common axis, hence coaxial.
The rear speakers should be for fill only, so there's no need for an expensive component setup back there. Coaxials are inexpesive and fit.

Sean, I have the 2 omh Kappa's in the doors, and a Kappa 10.1 in a 4080 with it's own amp. What coaxials would you recommend, staying at 2 omh for the side?
Since you already have Kappas, you could get the Kappa coaxials or anything halfway decent. You want a little bit of rear fill.
Some people don't even run rear speakers. Turn your fader all the way forward and see how that sounds.
