Best aftermarket Security System?

Im planning on installing a Viper security system without remote start on my 2004 Coupe G MT, but im wondering which one has worked best with our G's?
also will it disable the stock window operation that comes with the remote?

Well you can get the 5900 which is remote start with security or you can get the 5002 which is just security. You would need to added a 530t window module to program it to roll up your windows.

There are no 'legal' issues with installing a remote start on a manual, only liabilty.

The G35 has an OEM PNP (park neutral position) switch that can be tied to the remote start making it nearly impossible (without mechanical failure) to start the car if it is in any gear.

Last I checked (which was a while ago) the 530T would NOT work with our cars. It has an 'auto down' feature that causes the windows to go all the way down every time the door is opened. On the older units at least this could not be disabled.

You really don't need it anyway, as you can lower and raise the windows with extended (-) pulses on the lock and unlock wires.

Remote start is not really illeagal its just hard to find anyone that would install it for you...like KPierson said Its more of a liability issue.
I'm not lookin for a system with remote start though, just security, and I didnt wanna disable the "Window down" feature that we have on our remotes.
just an aftermarket security system that works with our OEM "window down" thats all.

Every G35 has had this feature.

You can lower the windows from the OEM keyfob, but you can't raise them back up from the keyfob unless you have the KPtechnologies window module ($49.99).

yea every G35 has this window roll down feature.

Just press the unlock button to unlock the car then press and hold it down a second time and the windows will roll down. You can also use the your key by turning it the way you turn it to unlock the car (should be counter-clock wise), then hold it in that position and they'll roll down...also if you turn it the other way, they'll roll up...its great.

You don't need to release and press a 2nd time - you can just press the unlock button and hold it down - the doors will unlock and the windows will go down.

Sounds good, I've always done it that way just to make sure it takes the command...but thanks for the heads up.
