Component Speaker Advice
Is Crutchfield considered a good place to order speakers from? I was thinking about getting the Infinity Kappa Components but I've also heard a few of you use Alpine... What's a good brand to go with. Also, what kind of amp do I neet to go with. As you can tell, I don't know a whole lot about car aduio I really don' t want to spend a whole bunch of dough on speakers and a system. I just want something more crisp and louder for the spring/summer.

Crutchfield is a reputable place to get your stuff. However, they do charge a lot for their products. You can most certainly find the same stuff at lower prices on other reputable websites and even on ebay. Re: Component Speaker Advice
Crutchfield is a good start to research components. They ship your stuff free if its over a certain amount, I think $199. They tend to be a little more expensive for some stuff.
I got all my Kappas, Perfect 6.1's from etronics.com. They were MUCH cheaper even with 2-day FedEx shipping than Crutchfield.
I love these components for my G. Others have used MB Quarts. Eclipses are good but very expensive.
Another place to look is sounddomain.com. They are pretty good. Just do a bunch of searches on these vendors and compare.

I have Infinity's Kappa 60.5 set in my car. They sound very good if supplied with enough power.

Re: Component Speaker Advice
I think speakers are all dependent on your personal ear in music. I mean, anyone can tell the difference between low and high end audio, but to tell the difference between high ends of several brands is a bit blurry. I LOVE the MBquart Q-lines. Some don't. It all depends on your taste.

You should consider and check out the Boston Acoustics Pro series..I had them on my Accord. They are tight!!! Thinking about going for the same set up on my G.
