Check this thread,I got my work done at Maximum Auto Sound in Garwood, NJ. I used the Metra dash kit for G35 If you have Navi, do not use this kit is not made for a navi. They had to somehow alter the dash kit for my navi to fit. https://g35driver.com/forums/picture-share/213310-ob-coupe-spring-misc-pioneer-z1-install-56k-beware.html

I just installed the Z3 with the OEM DD replacement as well, but don't you hate the fact that the color of the vent edges dont quite match the color tone of our tan 03-04 G35? I didnt realize the color was diffrent when i prchased the DD from Grubbs. Are all the OEM DD the same color?

By the way I just noticed that u have a small switch on the left side of ur HU, is that to bypass the Pioneer's security feature for playing video?

You wedge your fingers at the top left corner first until you get enough grip,

....then you pull like h3ll!, well maybe not like h3ll, but with a good amount of force. It may seem like it'll break but you'll have to trust that it'll come loose.

Oh, and dual climate controller add about another 50
Don't you also have to buy the bracket?

Why do you need to pull the clock trim off to install a double din?

Theres a screw that you need to take off and can access by taking off the clock trim.

I finally got the clock trim piece out......(the whole pinching thing that everyone does i guess didnt work on my car) ....... The metal clips were like bent open so it wouldn't come out....but after using 2 putty knife scrappers wrapped in cloth i went it from each side and pried it out

but now after removing all the bolts (1 by clock and 2 down by shifter at the bottom of the clock)

i have a 2004 with bose...have all the bolts removed but cant seem to get access to the wiring harnesses and get it to come loose

should i remove the lower panel and side panels also ??? where the 12v power sources are??? and the glove box???

I dont know what else its stuck on.....i got the bolt on by the clock and the 2 at the bottom.....it seems to wiggle but its still stuck in there

Did you remove the bottom panels on either side of the center console - the glove box and panel under the steering wheel? The DIY shows you what to do.

my favorite DIY...

just make sure you press on the correct "next" button on the bottom page, it always confused me as one button will bring you to a different diy.
