system setup help..

i am looking to buy a pioneer z2, and 2 subs and an amp for my car. i have a 4080 box for the drivers side and is currently looking for a 4080 box for the passengers side. Is the pioneer z2 the best for the price?? it is pretty expensive.. cheapest i found it for was like 1300 on ebay. and also i was looking to spend around 500 on 2 subs.. and 500 on an amp.. what do you guys recommend for the price?? i was thinking a pair of jl 10w6, they run about 500 bux.. any other subs better for this price range..?? and also i was looking to get the jl 500/1 amp.. what do you guys think?? thanks

the head unit is a good choice, but for a better bang for the buck sub, go with a pair of elemental designs 11ov.2's or the new IDv3 subs

Make sure your amp has enough power to push two subs.

A single 1000/1. They are big, though, so plan your mounting location.

Are you going to keep the rest of the stock speakers? If you're going all out with two 10w6's, a 1000 watt amp, and a DD HU, you might as well add an amp to power new interior speakers. Otherwise, two 10w6's will completely overpower a stock system.

cchaorule-
If you are looking to spend $1000 on subs and an amp to run them you should take a serious look at Rockford Fosgate. You could get a pair of P3D410 and a Punch 1000-1bd. I know there are alot to JL fans on here, but the new RF stuff is the best stuff on the market today. RF stuff is reliable more powerful and sounds really good. Check out the RF stuff for yourself: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/home/

For $500 for interior speakers, you can buy much better quality than Infinity.
