which rear speakers to use as fill????

i just put in sub/4080 box, JL Audio 500/5 amp, Hex components in front and some Alpine 6x9 in the rear deck.

BEFORE I PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER i'm wondering if it might sound better to put some 6.5" speakers in the rear side locations and take out the 6x9s so the bass can vent thru the holes in the deck.

any ideas? has anyone done it both ways to compare?

any input is greatly appreciated.
thx!

^ That's exactly what I did. The Bose 6x9's are for bass only (if you want to call it that). There are two large holes where the 6x9's were, but the grilles are still there.

Yes, just inexpensive Boston Acoustics coaxials.
