Factory iPod issues......****
So I finally broke down and bought one of those factory iPod integration deals from Everything G35. I tried to hook it up and nothing. The iPod showed that it was hooked up but nothing showed up on the factory stereo. Everything was pretty easy to hook up and I followed the directions from some of the folks' postings on here. When I press my SAT button...nothing. I went ahead and installed everything as is just because I had the time today.
The previous owner had Dynamat installed in the trunk which is nice but i'm thinking they had an aftermarket stereo put in with the subs that probably were installed. I'm thinking whoever put everything back to stock didn't plug the SAT plug back into the back of the HU. I'll be pissed if that's the issue. I really don't want to have to pull the whole dash out only to find that it is plugged in. I wouldn't know what to think then.
Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you.

Does anyone know if there is a DIY 03 coupe dash removal to get to the stereo back end? I've tried to look at a couple of threads but every one i've seen is a dead-end. Thanks.
if you cant find any info here try seaching other forums... (G35 Websites)

Took apart my dash today...I literally made sure I had the whole day to work with. I went in and had my dash and stereo out in 15-20 minutes. No pulling really hard, no broken pieces. The only pain in the *** was getting the entire HVAC/radio unit out. That took a bit of patience.
I looked back behind the stereo and everything was plugged in. There wasn't an outlet that didn't have anything plugged into it. I'm not sure what to do here. Should I contact Infiniti Scottsdale and see if I could get another unit?? I followed the instructions provided here on G35 Driver and something doesn't mesh. This unit is brand new as far as I know. What gives?

Make 100% sure that everything is plugged in correctly. I had this same issue just to find out I had it hooked up wrong.
Triple check your connections and also make sure you have a great ground too.

I'm going to have to do that. When I plugged everything in the harness clicked which meant to me that the harness seated well. When I plug the iPod in the iPod shows it is connected with the check mark. When I get a chance tommorrow i'll check the connections again.

I have an 03 coupe with only the SAT, FM/AM, DISC, TAPE buttons. I've tried everything even pressing two at a time. I don't know why but I guess stanger things have happened. I'm going to check my connections after work today.

No dice. I tried that but it shouldn't take a voodoo button pushing technique to get it to work. That's weird. It should only take pressing the SAT button and that's it. Oh well.
You know i have the exact same problem. Just installed the unit in the trunk connecting to the satellite connector, never got the "check mark" but did get acknowledgment on my ipod that it is connected. The weird part is that my SAT button switches the HU to AM radio. Only way for me to switch to my IPOD is thought the MODE button on the steering wheel cycling through til i hear song from my ipod. The only way for me to switch tracks is through the tune button. Everything on the screen goes blank after awhile and nothing will activate it i can use the scan button to fast forward and any other keys after being held for a couple seconds just beeps. Going to check my group for the unit in the trunk just in case that is an issue tho it doesnt make sense
