for someone who knows their sh*t

I came across a 4 channel pioneer 600 watt amp.

I have been currently shopping around for a good set up speaker components.

my budget is around 200-250. i have found numerous great deals, just dont know which brand to go with.

MB Quart PVI216 ?

Diamond Audio S600S (HEX S600 w/ Silk Dome Tweeters) ?

hertz 165?

Polk Audio MOMO MMC6500 ?

Alpine SPX-17REF - Alpine 6.5" Type-X Series ?

any experiences or suggestions would be much appreciated,
soo confused!

Check out D.A.

Just recently installed a set of Diamond Audio S600S's backed up by an Alpine pdx-2.150 feeding 150 per channel. So far im very impressed with their performance handling mid bass and their general tone. The silk dome tweeters create great highs without having that metallic/tin sound that i found fatigue your ears after long listening...and they just sound much better than aluminum domes. I highly recommend sound deadening your doors to create a better home for the speaker. I did, and wouldn't change a thing! Placing the tweeters in the stock locations were not a direct fitment replacement. The mounting tabs that hold in the stock tweeter need to be widened to fit the larger speaker. Midbass woofer mounting definetly requires spacers to avoid window glass....Good luck in your hunt!

I got Kappa perfects for around that price and they sound pretty good.
In the classified on My350z you can get the spacers you will need.

I'm not too much of a Diamond fan...they have been going downhill and their products arent quite what they used to be.

The Type X's are supposed to be pretty decent, but I would go with Hertz. Comming from Elettromedia, they are known to have good products...Audison is amongst one of their lines. I have personally heard the Hi-Energy line and they sound good, though it was on a sound board. I heard 5.25's in a car and they sounded good, but lacked midbass for my taste, but that could very well be because they are 5.25" and not 6.5".

I ended up getting the Zapco CK-16.2's because I got a really good on them. I would recommend them, but they will run you MUCH more than what you're looking to spend.

I recommend looking into the Image Dynamics components, another great way to go. I'd probably take those out of all of them. If you can find Crystal (I believe model is CMX) I'd recommend those as well, very nice sounding.

I wouldn't mount tweeters in the stock location even if it fits. There isn't a reflective surface on the passenger side but the steering wheel will cause reflection. If you pay close attention, the tweeter is also angled down, causing more reflection onto the dash. I have talked to Bing from Simplicity Sound and he's worked on 30 -40 G35's and he recommends the A pillar for best tweeter placement. Here is a link to the install and you can see where the tweeter is mounted as well. http://diymobileaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40546

Lol. Try and see if you can find some on eBay or even talk to a dealer to bring the price down. They may be willing to work with you.
