I got a call in from my installer who did my avelectronic system. he told me a buddy of his was coming out with a system to play the audio as a direct output out of the SAT button. He used my car as the beta and its all done but he still speculates another month or so for testing and making the programing flawless. The system is gonna be anywhere from $70-$100. I had the audio running outta my casette deck becuase I read it sounds much cleaner then doing it through the AM/FM. It sounds waay nicer now and looks A LOT cleaner now cause no wires coming outta casette deck and sounds nicer! :-D

so kamal, did your installer actually go through with it (SAT button for direct sound) I want to make sure it's actually done correctly before i go through with anything. Also, if possible, can you tell me the details of how he got the sound through the SAT? also exact price?

Is there a way to re-wire the system to get the sound to come through the "Tape" button? I *never* use the tape deck, I have XM, and I don't want to have a modulator, nor a tape with a wire sticking out of it...

The tape deck is internal so it would not be possible to connect to it like the SAT radio. I know that some other aux add in modules allow you have both XM and another aux source on the one port for the SAT radio by allowing double clicking the SAT button to select between the sources.

 

I contacted the guy and he said it was being made by PAC. He also said that the information he has is it will be out in April. It has duel inputs so you can have satalite radio and avelectronic unit wired up to the SAT button.

That one says it won't work on a car already equipped with Sat.
