ECU Reset and Homelink Settings
Was wondering if anyone knew if doing the 12hr ECU reset (disconnected the neg. battery terminal) will erase the homelink settings as well. I know that doing the reset erases your preset radio stations and the trip computer.
instead of waiting 12hrs for the energy in the system is dissipate, you can either press the brake pedal or turn on the headlights and in seconds the ecu will have lost power completely
just a tip to re-set the ecu much quicker

I've tried the pedal method but I just don't have patience to try it 50 or 100 times. I did it about 30 times and couldn't get the CEL light to flash.
Is this disconnect and turn on headlights methods pretty safe? I don't want to damage anything or blow any fuses. Please let me know.

You should have the CEL checked for the problem that is causing it first.

. And the CEL I am talking about is for the "pedal ECU reset," where you have to do a certain pedal pressing sequence, a dance, and do it on a full moon on the 3rd Friday of every other month to get it to flash, letting you know that you are resetting the ECU. I couldnt get it to flash.
