Z3 is out now, looks like it includes a mic for voice recognition and updated maps with 3d aspects in certain major cities. I did a search and found that it is priced at about $200 more than the Z2. I also found a lot of complants on older models. I hope this the Z3 fixes all the previous bugs.

I have seen a lot of members with the Z2, any complaints???

I believe that all the Zs came with a mic,...

but the Z3 has a bigger hard drive 40gig, updated voice commands, and updated POI/maps, in other words, the point of interest shows a building on the map, i think.

Other than that, there's not much of a difference, IMO.

I am pretty sure that the hard drive is still 30gigs. The Z3 is just basically software updates and a mic for voice recogniton commands.

Anyone own the Z2? Does it have as many issues as I have read?

I haven't had any issues. It's a pretty solid head unit.

Acutally there is no soldering needed. Just order the right part # that comes with the dual climate control button on it.

i've had issues with my z2 ..
it didnt boot up in hot days, and the latest was freezing while booting up, but it has been taking care of with firmware updates from pioneer . so i can say now i have no issues, debating if i should update to the z3, which is jus buying a z3 hdd and installing it.. but is it worth it for 3d maps and better voice recognition? hellz yea..lol
