Best 10" sub for my 4080 box and SS amp

I am getting a 4080 box and have a Soundstream Reference 500sx amp. Rated at 500 watts @ 1 ohm and I think 2 ohm bridged. So I think I would need a DVC 10" sub with a RMS of 500 correct? Any recommendations? Thinking about the Soundstream Reference RFW-10 sub...

depends on your budget, I would personally put an Elemental Designs 11ov.2 in there, or a Image Dynamics IDQ10. Alot of people will suggest a JL 10w6v2 which is also a good sub, but at a significantly higher pricepoint

I have a JL W6V2. They are excellent. Not bad for the price. Ebay have it cheap. You can get a W7 for less than 400 but the length is too long to fit the 4080 box.

REALLY they are. In this case (IMO) you really get what you pay for. I have learned that most speaker suggestions are subject to the listerners "ear" vs brany/type. Some people like "punchy" bass that hits like you are being punched in the chest when other like "deep" that rattles teeth and shakes paint off walls.

I just got a Hertz ML2500 put in my car, and it is amazing. Really, no one believes it's just a 10" sub -- and the sub is fast as well as clean. I will definitely post pics of the install, the shop took pics and is supposed to be sending them to me, if not, I will take some. Here's some info on the Hertz stuff --

That sucker is definitely worth the money, and it blew the w7 out of the water -- to my ears.
