Disable AUDIO Button 'beep'

Disable AUDIO Button 'beep'
Does anyone know if you can disable the beep that occurs when you press the audio button on the stock head unit. This is the button that scrolls between the BASS, TREBLE, FADER, BALANCE, and SCV features. Since putting in my new system the beeping noise seems to come through much more piercing and I would like to deactivate it if possible...
If anyone knows that this can be done please share!!!
THANKS!

Not yet. There has to be a way to do it. I'd imagine if there is a way it would be written in the service manual that also includes the wring diagrams for the audio system. If I had such a manual I would look but of course - I don't. I need to get ride of that beep... its so piercing at times!!!

Re: Disable AUDIO Button 'beep'
I just looked through the service manul for the radio and it doesn't have anything about turning this off that I could find, so its probably not possible. You can download the whole service manul from http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/infiniti with a 1 day $20 subscription fee if you want to look for yourself. The wiring diagrams for the bose system have already been posted to this forum, just do a search for them.

Re: Disable AUDIO Button 'beep'
The Service Manual isn't going to show any details within the audio unit itself, and there isn't any user-feature to disable to beep. The only possible recourse would be to remove the audio unit, open it up, and attempt to cut the wires to the source of the beep - which is probably a small piezo buzzer.
Is it really worth it? How often do you actually change these settings?
